How to Apply for West Bengal ITI Application Form 2025?
If you want to take admission in NCVT ITI college of West Bengal and want to understand the entire process easily, then you are at the right place. West Bengal State Council for Vocational Training (WBSCVT) manages this whole admission process. Below, I have explained the step-by-step application filling process by following which you can easily fill out your application form.
- Visit the official WB ITI Admission portal, either scvtwb.in or the WBCAP centralised portal.
- Click on “New Candidate Registration” and create your account with your email, mobile number & password. If you already have an account, click on the ‘Already Registered’ option to proceed.
- Fill the registration form with your personal and academic information accurately.
- Choose your Group:
- M Group (for Class 10 pass candidates)
- E Group (for Class 8 pass candidates)
- M Group (for Class 10 pass candidates)
- Upload all the important documents such as photo, signature, mark sheet, and other certificates.
- You will have to pay the fee as per your category in online mode:
- ₹200 for General/Unreserved (Male) candidates
- ₹100 for SC/ST/PwD/Female Candidates
- ₹200 for General/Unreserved (Male) candidates
- After submitting the form, download the confirmation slip and keep it safe. It is very important for future reference.

Eligibility Criteria
There are a few essential eligibility criteria applicable when taking admission in West Bengal ITI colleges, which I have mentioned below.
- Your nationality should be Indian, and you must be a resident of West Bengal.
- Education: your qualification should be at least Class 8 for E Group trades and Class 10 for M Group trades.
- Age: Your minimum age should be at least 14 years by August 1, 2025; no upper limit for age.
WB Merit List Process 2025
The West Bengal ITI (Industrial Training Institute) merit list will be declared by the West Bengal State Council for Vocational Training (WBSCVT) in the last week of June 2025. We will be able to understand which students will get admission in ITI institutes with the help of the Merit list. You have to visit the WBSCVT website to check your name on the list.
The merit list will be prepared for two different E and M group candidates. The E group merit list will be prepared based on class 8th marks, similarly for the M group for class 10th marks. If you have scored high marks in your academic exams, such as class 8th, 10th, you will get a higher rank in the merit list.

West Bengal ITI Counselling Process 2025
Once the merit list is released by the WBSCVT board, after that the counselling process starts for shortlisted candidates. And the Counselling happens in multiple rounds based on merit. Below, I have discussed how it works.

- Fill your preferred trades & colleges (choice filling) and lock your preferences
- Allotment results will be declared
- If you get allotted, download the seat allotment letter
- Visit the institute with documents for verification.
- Pay the admission fee to confirm your seat.
Documents Required During Counselling 2025
